Senior officers demonstrate transportation progress, with gratitude to the Miami Aircraft Company. '-aww ,au If we could wind a time-machine backward to the year we came to Picher Junior High School, it would picture the good times of those days, the companionship of our classmates, and the splendid feeling of belonging to a wonderful class that we have leamed to love and appreciate during the last six years. The time machine would show us our seventh, eighth, and ninth grades with Jimmy Heatherly, Jerry Powell and Erma Davis as our presidents. In the seventh grade, Londa Carnes ruled as Football Princess. Of course, the highlight was graduation into high school with Jimmy Davis and Jerry Powell salutatorian and valedictorian. Then we were led by Norma Carr, our sophomore president. We contributed o11r share of talented people to our school. We are proud of our athletes, our musicians, our speakers. We'll never forget our junior year, when Dale Smith was our president. For our banquet, we took a wonderful trip to the Mardi Gras. Not many classes can claim the honor of having Zinco royalty and football queen two years in succession, but we have done just that. During our junior year, Myrna Walker was football queen, and Janie Smothermon and Robert Harper won the honors of Zinco-Queen and King. Then in the senior year, Rayma Smith and Burl Lane sold the most Zincos and became our yearbook king and queen. Linda Cames, one of our loveliest, reigned asfootball queen. We elected Robert Harper as president. This is the year we have looked forward to for so long and the year we shall remember forever for this is the year that we reach our great goal of graduation. Classes may come. and classes may go, but when will there be such another? We shall go into the future with our state trusting that with our high school training we have caught its challenge--that we will make the same kind of dynamic spirited citizens as our forbears.
