TUDE T COU CIL Student Council consists of one representative from each homeroom elected by fellow students in the spring of every year. The representatives strive to improve the school and promote a harmonious relationship between the student body and the Members of Student Council-left to right, first row: M. Meier, A. Cyger, N. Samiljenko, D. Mowere, M. Takacs, D. Bishop, C. Taney. Second row: C. Mun- shower, B. Brockman, H. Kasarda, M. Yashura, M. Hartman, B. Burns, K. Sykes . Third row: Mr. Batezel, F. Ciampietro, I. Papp, L. Cubanich, P. Santo, I. Rol- lison, I. Griffith. faculty. Mr. George Batezel is the faculty advisor. Each year Student Council publishes a s'tudent handbook, sells football programs, plans pep rallies, and sponsors novelty days and social affairs. Some special projects this year were writing a Constitution, adopting a Korean war orphan, instaling a coke machine, and reviving school spirit. pl 'liwp : x -4 Helen Kasarda headed the homeroom Christinas decora- tions contest, Midge Meier and Larry Cubanieli assisted in decorating the school Christmas tree, and Pat Santo was responsible for the sale of programs at football games.
