The National Honor Society of the bnited States consists of twenty-fiye hundred chapters. Ihe Phoenixyille High School chapter, number 579 has been in existence since 19.25 and now has 342 members, 195 girls and 1-17 boys. This society for secondary schools tries to promote the founding of better institutions in our country by keeping the nation aware ofthe value of a well-rounded educa- tion. 37
