Mr. Little is from Parker, Arizona and is a member of the Mojave Tribe. He attended PIHS and graduated in 1951. He attended Phoenix Junior College for two years, earning his Associate of Arts degree. After serving his time in the U.S. Army he entered Arizona State University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree and later his Masters degree. He taught for several years at PIHS as a Vocational Teacher and in 1962 left us to start his training in the field of administration. He now lives in Phoenix with his wife Betsy, also a graduate of PIHS, and their two sons, Gregory and Stewart. We welcome you. Superintendent Mr. Vincent Little. 30 Mr. Miles Bolinger, Principal. Mr. Miles Bolinger came to us in September, 1969 from Pine Ridge, South Dakota. He was appointed to fill the vacancy left by Mr. Noel Scott who went to Sherman Institute. Mr. Bolinger has worked at Chilocco and Pine Ridge. A special dedication program was held at the Phoenix Indian School, Dec. 12, 1970 in the memory of a famous Indian, Ira Hayes. Present at the program were the parents of Ira Hayes, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hayes, and a brother, Kenneth Hayes. The highlights of the program was the signing of the documents by Mr. and Mrs. Hayes to estab- lish a memorial fund for the Ira Hayes Memorial Indian Center. It will Provide services for the Indian people. The center will also provide tribal meeting dens and dance areas. Kenneth Hayes signs his name.
