The school year 1967-68 has been a good year. There has been much progress made and our Seniors have worked hard to prepare themselves for the life that is ahead. They have worked to earn their diploma, which is a ticket to serve their fellow man. We would certain- ly hope that they use it for just that, and what they have learned they will share with their people so that the educational opportunities for the Indian people will be increased. This year has been marked as a type of revolution or a turning point for the Indian young people, because you have expressed yourselves more, verbally as well as through your actions. The major goal of the Phoenix Indian School is to prepare students to live in a changing society and a changing world. In meeting this goal, students have been encour- aged to develope intellectual freedom and to learn ways of obtaining their goal through peaceable means, while at the same time silently revolting for a new and better life for the Indian people. You must remember that a person cannot be truly happy until he is serving his fellow man, so I challenge all of you to prepare yourselves for service for the betterment of your own people. 3 Noel D. Scott, Principal

The real evaluation of any school program lies in the young men and young women who graduate from it. Wherever our students go and whatever they do, they will by their actions bring either credit or discredit to our school. We are proud of our students, every one of you. We hope that our school has prepared each of you for a better adjusted life. The entire staff joins me in extending God Speed to each of our graduates. Our blessings go to each of our students. 2 James D. Wallace

Mary Williams Jeanette Haas The Senior Class of 1968, with its one-hundred sixty-five members, will graduate on May 9. This is the day you have all been waiting for. Many of you will stand, that day, and momen- tarily say, What now? What now ? Experiences through the past years have been hard and trying, but were intended for the What now? answer. The class of '68 will now be spread throughout our wide country and many points beyond. You will take your places in many fields of life and continue to gain experience and knowledge. This will not always be easy, but it will be what you have worked for. Many times you will look back and think of old experiences gained while preparing for the What now period. Best wishes and success to all the members of the Class of 1968. The Senior Sponsors Alice Gleiser
