ASSOCIATED STUDENT BODY OFFICERS for the first semester were Cherry Tsutsumida, presidentg Fern De Mente, vice-presidentg Trudy Dempsey, secretary, and Barbara Molidor, treasurer Qnot shown.j Highlights of their work included the Homecoming Parade with elaborate preparations which included the traditional pep rally as well as a special ceremony to bury Bumstea d, the PC's bashed bear mascot. The burial took place the night before homecoming and included all the trimmings-elegies, Aulde Lange Syne, and fiery pyre. Another event sponsored by the associated students was the sock hop: a stocking-foot dance where argyles compete with other socks for brightness and uniqueness. '
