SENIOR HONOR SOCIETY Center: Mrs. Sleeth, advisor, J. Stauring, J. Johnson. S. Peek, A. Parker, G. Crandall, M. Riley, J. DiSalvo, D. Ritchie, B. Caswell, C. Beattie, D. Richards, D. Dundon, J. William- son, J. Morgan, A. Luke, M. Richards, L. Godkins, K. Murtagh, J. Kirpatrick. The Phoenix Chapter of the National Honor Society was chartered in 1954. The present group has twenty members but will become larger after induction of new members on December 13. I The local group conducts a student-teacher day at which time students act as teachers in the various classrooms throughout the school system. Students also perform a tutoring service at Elm Street school, offering individualized help to young students who need it. Members often act as guides during Open House held at the high school. On Moving-Up Day, the chapter entertains the graduating seniors at a tea following the assembly program. The Phoenix Chapter participates in the activities of District 10 of the National Honor Society. Members at-tend the fall conference every year. This year eight members of the group and their advisor enjoyed the bus trip to Ottawa where they toured the government buildings and observed parliament in session. OFFICERS A. Luke, Secretaryg K.
