This year's wrestling team seems to be well on its way under the able direction of Coach Patchen. Although it will be losing se- niors Bill Hutchinson, Greg and Gary Hartranft, and Bob Goldych, the team will be backed up by able Juniors and eager Sophomores. VARSITY BASKETBALL This year's basketball team exhibited much ability and team effort. The boys started off strongly at Pulaski to win their first league game. After an overtime loss to Central Square the Firebirds came back to beat Mexico and Hannibal and enioyecl the remainder of a successful season. High scorers for the team include Nick Durr, a three year veteran and Brian Dick, up from last year's JV team. The team is rounded out with the fine perform- ance of Reid Smith, Jim Walts, Jim Jones, and Dana Clary. The departing Senior members of the team con- tributed excellent examples and outstanding service.
