V, V ,, , W GERMAN CLUB German Club, under the capable leadership of its elected officers and the advisor, Mr. Farrell, has the purpose of acquainting its members with the cus- toms, the geography, and, most of all, the people of Germany. To be eligible for membership, it is re- quired only that one is a German student and has sincere interest in the club's activities. The highlight of this year's activities was the es- tablishment of the club's Pen Pal Program. Anyone with the desire received the name, age, and ad- dress of a student in Germany. Although the pen pal writes in English, members can also practice Ger- man by writing back in German. This program has proved to be successful and will be repeated in fu- ture years. The club also participated in the Student Council Winter Carnival, purchased pins for its members, and worked to revise its constitution. This year the officers are Bob Williams, President, Lori Helbock, Vice-President, June Knickerbocker, Secretary, and Brian Caswell, Treasurer.
