Although, the Phoebus Phantoms fought gal¬ lantly against the Ferguson Mariners, the combi¬ nation of uncooperative elements and the tenacity of the Mariners proved too overpowering. The Phantoms lost 7 to 6. If one had not known the scores, however, one would have thought the Phantoms were victorious, so enthusiastic were the Phoebus fans. Spirit Week this year was high¬ lighted by a variety of activities. Each day students dressed up in different costumes such as twins, their favorite decade, and paja¬ mas. On Friday there was a pep rally at which the spirit stick was won by the seniors their extra en¬ thusiasm. Next came the parade complete with floats, then the homecoming game and finally a dance.
