Educational Highlights 0 The educational system of 13447, however crude it may seem today, was sufficient to provide an education for the children of Phillipsburg. Since no state supervision of the .schools l existed, our School Board prepared the rules and curricula governing the education of tHe l children of Phillipsburg. There was no certification of teachers - anyone could teach if he could get the approval of the School Board. The Superintendent of the Schools received nd compensation for his work, except that of the honor of the position.
