UI' Jed! . . . lust what is an Ideal Teachern? Surely by now, with all the appro- priate pictures, everyone must know who our perfect example is. If not, to do him justice, we will say that the wonderful specimen of man scattered all over these two pages is none other than Mr. Donald A. Dallman, holding B, S. and K. M. college degrees: K, M. standing for King of the Moustachef' Mr. Dallman's First outstanding quality is his ever pleasant smile. Many of his students think this smile came as a result of his extreme interest in chem- istry. It seems that it is said to have originally developed from a Hendish grin of an Eager Beaver scientist. Believe it, if you will. Secondly, Mr. Dallman has a marvelous sense of humor which is hard to equal. Does he care if his class on examination day tries to bribe him with enough food to open a delicatessen? Does he care how much bacteria is in Kenny Bigelow's ice cream? To quote this teacher's favorite expression, No-oo-oo-oo. D, D. has also been outstanding in the support of the school's social activities. His jovial appearance at the different dances and his attendance at social gatherings have greatly promoted their success. Without Daddy Dallman, dances wouldn't be the success they are. We congratulate Mr. Dallman on the magnificent job he has done in the past in teaching chemistry and oflering guidance of any kind to those who want it. To him, we give our best regards and wish him good luck in the future. ' ' Thus, basing our facts on example, we may say an ideal teacher is one who not only is highly successful in an academic Field, but who also possesses qualities that make the instructor popular with the student body. Of course, Mr, Dallman is only one of many, for Phillipsburg High School is the K'Home of ldeal Teachersf, Donit you agree? ,,-iii?
