foreword The 1963 PHILLIPIAN was created to represent another year of your college career and to hold many of the memories you will cherish, forever. It is much like an outline of a term paper, being only a skeleton of what is to be said. The theme carried out is time. It is laid out in the sequence of a year, starting with the opening of school and finishing with grad- uation and the end of school. It is divided proportionately from a year to a day using morning as the beginning, noon as the middle, evening as the climax and night as the end. Even the classes are divided into these divisions. It is hoped that these pages will restore your memory and spirit for your school. Phillips University, being in its new building program and growth toward higher educa- tion, gives us, the students, a thrill to be a part of its beginning.
