FOREWORD Never before since the golden age of Greek learning and the tremendous educational thrust of the Renaissance and Christian Humanism has the world known such a renewed interest in edu- cation and learning as in the middle of the twentieth century. Education! is the bold cry across the land, the oceans, and the nations of the earth as the modern man, crushed by oppressive weight of false isms, world hatreds, and his own ignorance in the face of new, expanding frontiers in world and divine knowledge, wants to know, to grow, to be led . . . finally, to be educated in the completeness and dignity of the true Christian scholar.
