Dean, College of Educationg Professor of Education. ARTS AND SCIENCE The College of Arts and Science has contrib- uted to the growth and scholarship fame of Phillips in no small degree. Many students who have graduated fr: mirl the Liberal Arts College and gone elsewhere for graduate work inevitably receive praise in the apparent thoroughness of their under- graduate work. Graduate schools regularly grant scholarships and fellowships to students of this college. EDUCATION The quality of work done in the College of Education is testified by the demands of school boards, and superintendents for more Phillips teachers in their schools. Not only are the students going out to teach superiorly trained in the purely curricula but what is becoming vastly more import- ant in morals and character.
