To tbe Phillips Junior High School Ninth Graders of 1965: Three sore years to go.....This is not a long period of time when one oonsiders that nine years hare already been spent in school. Ion are now Tory close to what is considered the finish line. Three years from now, however, you will be starting out on a new venture in which many years lie ahead of you. What you do during the next three years in school will determine to a great extent what your remaining years will be. My wish to you is that these years will be profitable to you. By profitable I do not necessarily mean having an abundance of material wealth, but that you will be happy, that you will find your niche in life, and that you will be suooes8ful in helping to secure for mankind some semblance of stability wherein people may spend their time in the pursuit of peace and happiness and not in the building of armaments. Xou have oome a long way in the pest three years, from little boys and little girls to young men and young ladies. I am sure most of you have found these years rewarding and sometimes trying. Senior high now stands ready to carry you through the next three years and more school adventures. It is my sincere hope that your future will bring you every success and happiness and that your atay at Phillips has somehow contributed to this end.
