MAY DAY HAD BAD LUCK The Mirror Board-sponsored May Day festivities revealed many hidden talents. Field events, in which couples competed for prizes, provided laughter and suspense for those spectators brave enough to defy a downpour which began twenty minutes before the celebration did. The contests revealed which couples were best in a tricycle race, an egg throwing contest, a water pouring contest, and a sack race. For those who wanted to stay dry inside the gym, music was provided by the Daily Edition. The Mirror Board still has a beautiful trophy to award to the male member of the faculty with the Most Beautiful Legs on Campus - all of the contestants chickened out! A1 Lovoy took second place in egg throwing contest.

When tire events of the waking dream reached the conclusion, who was chosen the fairest of the fair? Whose heart was made to beat a little faster? Whose head received the circle of stars? These joys were experienced by Kay Franklin, Miss Phillips, and Claudia Jones, Junior Miss Phillips. r
