Here we are at our tenth annual reunion of the January, 1964, graduating class of Phillips High School. We have a visitor among us today who would like to find out what happened to some of these past Phillipians. First, I would like for you to meet Russell Maddox, Mayor of the fair city of Little Creek. Oh, of course you know where that is. It's in the blooming state of . . . of . . . well. Here's Captain Pat Gaynor back on leave from Labrador where she is stationed as a Navy recruiter. Nesta White and Dolly Shikle have opened an employment office in San Francisco. They tell me Jim Watson is continually coming in looking for jobs. And there's Lewis Patterson, still fighting off those good-looking girls at Birmingham-Southern where he is a professor of chemistry. That scientific look always was appealing, Lewis! Pat Hicks and Ellen McClendon have started a modeling agency in New York. The office right next to them is occupied by Gay Wood, record-setting typist. She now types 90 words per minute and has just invented a super-speedster typewriter. Carol Vinyard actually has taken a little time off from her piano teaching to attend our reunion. We hear you have quite a large studio now. Attention folks! It is exactly 8:27 p.m. Johnny Andrews and John Blackenburg are due over our building from their Earth, Moon, and Jupiter Orbit right now Such amazing and daring astranauts! Too bad they were tricked into this flight in the first place. Ed Williams always was good about getting people to believe funny little stories! I would like for you to meet Charene Mathews, the syndicated columnist of the world renowned column, Lorena Love Lorn. Edna Williams keeps her well supplied with letters. Herman McCoy is now a top-rated policeman for the city of Birmingham. He just couldn't fight those tickets any more, so he joined them. The well-known psychiatrist, Jane Carlton, seems to have her couch full with Dr. John Fancher. Dr. Fancher has just won a Nobel Prize for literature although rumor has it that all of his works come from the vivid imagination of Bernis Howard! Now that this year's reunion has come to a close, we will dismiss and return next year to find out what some more of our past classmates have become. Your emcee, Sharon Helm PAGE 27

Memories The New Year's Eve we did the town, the day we tore the goal post down . . . we will have these moments to remember. Yes, we graduating seniors will always remember Phillips — our friends, teachers, laughs, tears, successes, failures. These are some things that can never be forgotten. We would like to share those things with other Phillipians who will soon follow in our footsteps. John Andrews leaves his good looks and ability to catch women to his younger brothers Wesley and Walter. To Sandra Hen-n Sharon Helm awards one much-usecl TC uniform. Floyd Garrett wills his ability to play the drums to Sharon Godfrey, who is doing pretty well already. Martha DeFoor would like for Harold Golson to receive her title as Most Conceited because he deserves it more than she. Rosina Sanfilippo leaves her typewriter in 324 to her sister Connie, while Patricia Burkett wants Sonia Aaron to have her steno pad. Pam Blackwell leaves Clay Blackwell a little nervous from his rides home. George Ann Bynon wills her ability to go steady to any girl in need. Shirley Dahlke grants her ability to succeed in anything she does to Judy Bavar, who already has a head start. To Jim Scogin, Bernis Howard awards his enviable stage crew ability. Lewis Patterson wills his parking place to anyone who is willing to get to school before 7:30 every morning. Glenda Babb and Judy Glenn leave their Math 9 books to James Stewart and Florence Hurst. Ronnie Ridgeway leaves his ability to get elected to Bobby Roberts. Mike Mitchell gladly leaves his talent for doing everything late to June Hedrick, who has her day at this in typing class. Joe Daly admits he better not leave his ability to say, Ho, ho, ho! to anyone. Pat ( Sleepy ) Higginbotham grants her talent for sleeping during class and still making B's to anyone who needs the sleep. Paul Webster wills some of his towering height to a girl who really wants it—Gayle East. Steve Garrett hands over his talent for saying the right thing at the wrong time to Bill Hester. To Pat Launius, Gwen Keith awards her ability to write poetry, while Jan Peterson will her ability as an actress to Laura Dickinson. Ed Williams awards his book 1001 Excuses to George Rizzuto. Don ( Skip ) Jack-son leaves his worrying mind to Linda Clark. Bill Chandler leaves Mr. Fullington to find someone else to kid. Pat Hicks grants her talent for doing fifty things at one time to the next Social and Gift Chairman. We, the January 1964 graduates of John Herbert Phillips High School, bequeath these cherished memories of our years as Phillipians to our successors.
