Phillips math teacher Betty Turner spends her spare time working out fourth dimensional problems. Susanne Acker teaches astronomy (?). Physicists Jimmy Wood, Bobby Rosser, and Clegg Richardson are still trying to figure out what's going on in Room 108. And have you heard that the 3 R's are being taught by Leonard Rowell, Ronnie Rogers and Don Rucks? Appearing in Eugene Webb's new TV show, The Four Lassies, are Ruth Perry, Charleen Shouse, Betty Burchfield, and Almeda Norman, while Geraldine Pitts is featured in the soap opera entitled Private Secretary. One of Shirley Baisden's fashion models, Donnie Palmore, has been offered a movie contract by Jo Ann Turner Movies. Kathleen Clemons has disinvented shorthand. Doris Pugh has completed her lecture tour, discussing How to Succeed in Home and Journalistic Careers. We were told by Policeman George Colvert that Lawrence Sewell had been arrested for stealing Vulcan's statue from Red Mountain. Chief of Police Johnny Foster released him after bond was arranged by Lawyer Freddy Rauschenberg. Henry Keplinger, manager of the newly enlarged Alabama Theater, which had on display the archaeological finds of John McAvoy (who was inspired by his Latin classes at Phillips) is urging all graduates of January 1954 to accept a free pass to see that epic of 9-D Screen (invented by Marion Files) The Two Horsemen starring Cecil Mitchell and Hunter Mitchell. (No kin.) Billy Williams is now representing the United States in the National Tennis Meets. Howard Ennis was the first person ever to fly to the moon alone. It was rumored that he charmed all the moon maidens with his pretty brown eyes.
