In Appreciation The list of people who have helped us is almost endless. We would however like to extend our special thanks to several people who have been invaluable in preparing the book. Mrs. Flora Goodrich and Mr. James Del Buono, as well as the rest of the Accounting Office staff willingly answered our queries and tolerated our numerous errors. Mr. Paul Sadler, Jr., Director of Publications, provided us with many photographs, including all that appear in the Face Book section. Without the many hours that Mr. Edourd Desrochers spent in the Academy Archives with us, the old photographs and documents in our Bicentennial section could not have been brought to print. The Alumni Office, especially Mrs. Elizabeth Terry, provided the lists and address labels which have so greatly simplified our jobs. Their advice on soliciting contributions has permitted us to expand the book to its present length. Whenever we needed to stuff P.O. boxes, Mrs. Helen Richard and Mr. Roger Desjardins at the Academy Post Office always lent a hand and tolerated the confusion we added. We would also like to thank Mr. Guy Garon and the Hunter Publishing Company. Mr. Garon made himself available whenever his assistance was needed. Finally, we would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Mr. Doug¬ las Rogers, our faculty advisor. This year, his role was much greater than in the past. We hope he will continue to work with the PEAN.

Dedication Theodore Reilly Seabrooke Jr. was born on February 21, 1921, in Minneapolis, was graduated from high school in Maywood, Illinois, and received his B.S. degree in Physical Education from the University of Illinois in 1942. After teaching for three years in Granite City, Illinois, he joined the Exeter faculty in the fall of 1945. Born and brought up a Midwesterner, he spent the last thirty-five years of his life serving this New England school. Mr. Seabrooke showed great enthusiasm for everything he did, be it teaching preps to wrestle or coaching championship teams. He was best known for his expertise in wrestling, but his talents extended to football and lacrosse. On all levels, he knew how to get the most from his athletes. Never too busy to help with a problem, he took a personal interest in each student. He listened thoughtfully and helped students through times of trouble. Mr. Seabrooke also loved to recount colorful experi¬ ences, especially wrestling matches. His endless supply of anecdotes lightened difficult moments and held the attention of generations of Exonians. The loss of Mr. Seabrooke is felt by everyone who knew him. More than a teacher, he was also a friend. To him we gratefully dedicate the Bicentennial edition of the PEAN.
