Coach Ralph Lovshin ' s Harriers brought home the Class A New England Title after a two year absence with an undefeated season. In every prep school meet, the Red showed its depth by capturing at least seven of the top ten places. The Interschols, held at the Academy, attracted ten other schools. Although Ex- eter did not place better than fourth, they strode to an easy victory with six of the next eight places. The JV was also excellent as they won their Interschols with times that would have placed them fourth in the Varsity standings. This year ' s golf team finished with a disappointing 4-3 record. Despite the play of Captain Mike Tene- riello, the squad lost twice to Andover. Next year, Exeter golf hopes to improve its performance with the return of four iettermen. Girls soccer compiled a strong 7-1 record, the only loss being to Lawrence Academy. Ellen Black and MVP Stephanie Stringos composed Exeter ' s steady defense while Gloria Bilson, Joan Clements, and Cathy Dunbar were the outstanding forwards. Exeter finished the season on a decisive note, shutting out Andover 6-0. Field Hockey also had a winning record of 4-2-1. Consistency characterized the squad which was led by MVP Janet Kennedy, high scorer Pam Lester, and co-captains Marty Taft and Phyllis Chang.
