We have completed our work and enjoyed our play here, and now as alumni we place our confidence in you. Vile regret, it is true, that we are to leaveg for we see so many things that we might have done and which you still may do. You who have now been here three years have in that time been laying the foundations for the extra-curriculum activities and interests which will be open to you as Seniors. You have been learning to know Exeter and the Exeter spirit. It is for you in the one remaining year now before you to put this knowledge and experience to good use. It is you who are to become the leaders of the school. It is for you either to build upon these foun- dations or to let the foundations themselves waste away. Build! Exeter furnishes the material! it is yours for the taking. On the other hand donlt forget that the primary goal of your Senior year is a diploma. Keep your studying ever before you as the duty which must first be com- pleted to make all the other activities possible. Too many foolhurdy Seniors have seen their diploma slip from their grasp through their own lack of preparation. Now, on behalf of the Class of 1925, we wish to you every possible measure of success which is your reward. 123
