H151 Ac.-im-zmx' offers instruction in all the studies required for admission to the leading colleges and scientific schools. IN Gi-:N1':1ui., four years of Latin, Mathematics and English, three of Greek, two of History, and one of Physics and French or German, satisfy the ordinary requirements for admission to college. CANm1i.x'i'if:s for Harvard College are prepared to enter by any of the four common methods of admission, that is, in addition to the elementary courses, advanced courses are offered in Latin, Greek, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, French, and German, corresponding to Freshman courses in college. S'l'Ulll'IN'l'S are prepared for the Sheffield, Lawrence and other Scientific Schools, in three years, if when they enter the Academy they are qualified to take Second Year Mathematics. IIIPLOMAS are given to students who honorably complete the course. 'I'Hi-1 '1'Ur1'ioN is 340.00 for the first term, 3535.00 for the second, 825.00 for the third, ,SIO0.00 a year. About ten thousand dollars is divided annually among good scholars of high character but slender means. I':XAMINA'l'IONS for admission to the principal colleges and scientific schools are held annually in june at the Academy. Biizsmics the Libraries of the Golden Branch and the G. L. Soule Literary Societies, there is a Reference Library containing about 1,500 volumes. 'IXHIC Puvslcfxl. and Chemical Laboratories are thoroughly equipped and are unsurpassed .by many mflqqz' laboratories. 'l'Hi-: GVMN.-xsluai, a brick building with sandstone trimmings, contains 390 lockers, a running track, and rooms for shower bath, base-ball practice, bowling alleys, boxing and bathing. Systematic class exercises, and exercises for individuals adapted to their special needs, under the supervision of a skilled director, form a part of the regular course of Academic training. ii
