detriment and to the delight of the local hatters, whose sales in the next two days amounted to nearly one hundred hats. This vain little rooster crowed very much over the class victory, which was very easily accounted for by the fact that the upper classes furnished the material for the Academy eleven, and, besides, put class teams into the Held that gave them a pretty hard push. This victory was all that they cared for, and when the baseball season arrived, '93 sat on the grand stancl with a very serene and self-satisfied look. In this their middle year, ,93 has taken more of a brace. On the football team they were represented by two men, and in the Indoor Meeting they were second only to '92,-taking five first prizes and four seconds. This year also they won the class football championship, greatly to their satisfaction. Nearly half of the men on the baseball team are from '93, so that it is evident that there was room for improvement, what- ever might have been the lofty opinion they had of themselves. In the Spring meeting and the Exeter-Andover meeting 193 did her share. Let the good work go on, '93! Next year you will be Seniors, and will have general supervision over Athletics, and you have no small burden to carry. You cannot see where your football and baseball teams are coming from, and the football outlook is especially gloomy. You have always had a very high idea of your own merit. Self-esteem is a good thing, but do not carry it too farg and in your Seniority do not forget that, not very long ago, you were Preps. And now, Farewell! cm
