FRANK E. EHRENFELD, B.S., M.S. Supervising Principal It is with pleasure that I extend to the members of the class of i960 my congratulations in attaining graduation which is but a beginning in life's broader fields. Much that you have gained in these formative years will clear the way for success in your future endeavors. The truly educated person has learned a sense of justice, duty, truth, honesty-not only because it is the best policy, but because it is right. We hope that your high school education will aid you in the realiza- tion of these qualities as you travel life's road. M. S. HANCOCK, A.B., M.Ed. Senior High School Principal in this day of wonders, a high school education assumes a new and deeper significance. We can point with pride to all of the great accomplishments of the past but we must also be aware of the challenges of the present. It is only through the solid foundation of a thor- ough education that you can hope to meet those chal- lenges. There is no easy way to this meeting, but rather it means that each one must use the ability with which he is endowed to the greatest extent possible. Your high school education is not an end in itself, but rather the means to an end. The diploma you re- ceive is a testimonial that you have availed yourself ofthe opportunities presented to a reasonable degree. You, yourself, knaw whether you have made the most of those opportunities. EDWARD J. GRUNDY, B.S., M.Ed. Director of Curricula Many roads stretching into the future will loom ahead for each of you who has successfully completed the requirements for graduation. None of these roads will be entirely free from detours regardless of your planning. lt is hoped that the training received in the Philipsburg-Osceola Area Schools has helped to pre- pare you to confront these obstacles as you meet them on Life's highways of tomorrow.
