1 bedication MR. THOMAS LABOCK Nobody flunks my class, till the last whistle blows. This is just one of the many familiar quotes you would hear if you visited a chemistry class at Philipsburg High School. lt is a great privilege for us the graduating class of 1955, to dedicate our yearbook to Mr. Thomas Labock. Mr. Labock spent his high school years in the old sixth street building, graduating in 1923 as the valedictorian of his class. His high school career consisted of study, study, and more study. He entered Penn State and completed the course for a degree in three years. Upon graduating from Pennsylvania State University, Prof , as he is best known, spent one year at Bigler before starting his long teaching career at Philipsburg High School in the Chemistry and Physics department. He has been a member of the faculty for 27 years. During that time he has shown a great interest in the students and also in the extra cur- ricular activities, by showing up for all school events. For 15 years Prof held the position of Faculty Manager. Humor, sincerity, and understanding are a few of the many qualities that make him outstanding to all of us. With untiring patience and consideration he has become a friend to the stu- dents, parents, faculty and people of the community. To you Professor Labock, with great honor and pride we make this dedication, and wish you many more years of success and happiness. A
