endow 670155 akfdlfory WVhen we entered Philipsburg High School as Sophomores, we were highly confident of our own abilities and strove to impress the upper- classmen. Before many weeks had passed our feeling of confidence changed to one of humble- ness, and we immediately doffed our arrogant airs. At our first class meeting, we elected the following officers: President, Bill Pleskonko, Vice President, Bob Shoff, Secretary, Janet Kerr, Treasurer, Ed Maclay. During our Hrst year we were very well represented in music, athletics and dramatics. Our Iunior year was much more successful than the previous one. We were better ac- quainted with the school, its faculty members and our fellow students. Our officers for the year were as follows: President, Bill Miller, Vice President, Harry Carroll, Secretary, JoAnn Kell- ey, Treasurer, Cleo Goss. This was our year to gain some special recognition. Several of our musical members were beginning to show their abilities and were rewarded by having the op- portunity to attend District Orchestra, Chorus and Band. Our athletic accomplishments, writ- ing skills and speaking abilities began to display themselves in various forms. These experiences were only to prepare us for the responsibilities and privileges that we gained as seniors. The leaders in our eventful senior year were President, Bill Miller, Vice President, Sally France, Secretary, Shirley Baumgardner, Trea- surer, Marcia WVilliams. In the anticipation of such outstanding events as the Prom, the Wash- ington trip and the Senior banquet, we failed to realize the passing of time which was bringing us closer to our final activity as a class Com- mencement. ln our three years in high school, we have learned to appreciate a great many of the real values of life. But most important of all, we have gained new friends and a world of exper- ience, which we shall never forget. XVe hope to continue in life just as successfully as we spent our greatest period of life, our days in dear old P.H.S.
