O In All the World is a stage and the stage at Philipsburg High School has long been the source of hours of pleasure and cul- ture for its many friends. Whether in front of the stage or be- hind the footlighs, the students have been made to feel the value of dramatic art. Comedy, tragedy, classic, and music have all been presented to appreciative audiences. With the inauguration of a merit system for the awarding of drama letters, the Dramatic Department entered a period of reorganization. In 1948 the first of a series of all-class plays was produced. Since then great strides have been made and those P. H. S. students participating in these productions will continue to derive pleasure from this important phase of high school life.
