The largest crowd ever to see a Philipsburg High School class play attended the presentation of Huckleberry Finn . Such outstanding success was due to the coach- ing of Miss Humphrey and by virtue of its exceedingly hard work of the cast. With this the successful dramatic career of the Class of '37 came to a close. In the second sem- ester a series of educational programs was begun, which was held each Thursday after- noon. The programs, conducted according to Parliamentary Rule, gave each pupil the oppor- tunity to participate in their management. Such subjects as Pennsylvania State Motor Laws, Famous Statesmen, Scientists and Educators of America, Vocations, Colleges and Universities of America were discussed this year. Each home room elected a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. While, in the past, the only time for Glee Club practice was after school hours, now the activity is part of the schedule. This has added a lot to the quality of the music and all the members seem to be very enthusiastic.
