WUMANS AUXILIARY SUCIETY The Women's Auxiliary Society of the Philipsburg State Hos- pital was organized March 31, 1922 at a meeting held in the assembly room of the Moshannon National Bank Building and has acted continuously since. It was organized for the purpose of raising funds for the purchase of equipment for the hospital. Also To sew and make dressings and bandages etc. as required by the hospital. To collect the Thanksgiving donations from schools of the district for the hospital. To assist in any line of service connected with the hospital as requested by the superintendent. The auxiliary also provides gifts and favors for hospital patients at Christmas and sponsors the annual Charity Ball as a means of raising funds. Dinner meetings are held the second Friday of each month, excepting June, July and August at the Nurses Home.
