orientation The purpose of Orientation is to become familiar with the school. Tex- tile is not a grouping of buildings, but a conglomeration of people. This year the Class of 1974 went to Camp Cometg they didn't learn much about the campus, but the new students feel that they know each other and this is an accomplishment. Many classes drift along and the stu- dents are still strangers at graduation, but hopefully the Class of 1974 has overcome this. 'V . In the Fall the meeting is held at Krisheim Confer- ence Center in Chestnut Hill, and this is where these picture were taken. In the Spring the meeting is on campus. The partic- ipants are asked to give up at least a Saturday -in the Fall a Friday too. Conversation is at a common level, meals group faculty, ad- ministration 8f students. After a weekend together students know administration and faculty eat sleep and do everything else common to humans. The Invite an Enemy to Lunch idea that came from the Fall con- ference is an attempt to spread this knowl- edge to the entire student body. 89 ,
