v 1 Q L . I . ' an g Q: Y i , 'x' The cross-country season ended with a record of four wins and seven losses. The team had their ino- ments as Norman Belden came in first in nine out of eleven contests. Returning to next year! team will be Norm Belden, Captain Mike Rapp, Ron Wolff, Tom Prettyman, and Dan Levy. The Textile Harriers posted wins this year over Philadelphia Community College, Upsala, Kutztown, and Eastern Baptist. Losses were registered against Glassboro State, Delaware Valley, Albright, Lebanon Valley, F 84 M, and Drexel. It was felt that the lack of a strong fifth man would have made the difference in a winning season. The cross-country team will begin its rebuilding program this spring with the hopes that the incoming fresh- man class will add some depth to the team. Captain Sammy Corr leaves the team by way of graduation this spring. After four years of tough competition, he will be sorely missed. Q S0 xfhl-'

A small but important segment of Textile s sports program is the Evening College's Rams. Once again under the reigns of Captain Dave Gilbert and Ed Soffer, advisor, the Rams set out in january to recapture the league championship title as they did last year. Al- though they put up a good try, in their new maroon and white uni- forms, the Evening Rams didn't quite make it. Alot of credit has to be given to the team members for their per- severance in attending all those late night practice sessions, going through the hardships of giving up their Sunday afternoons to play, and in keeping the only athletic organization in the Evening College alive. Next year should prove to be even more exciting. Evening College Intramurals and cheerleaders are listed in the agenda. XX 1 '4 K I 181
