The main social activities of the year at PHILADELPHIA COL- LEGE of TEXTILES 81 SCIENCE are SPRING and WINTER WEEKENDS. The weekends usually encompass a semi-formal and a name group concert. The semi-formal is held on Friday evening of the weekend with a pop band and a dance orchestra. On Saturday night the students and their dates flock into Althouse Hall for a concert by a well known entertainment group. Spring weekend '68 saw the semi-formal being held at the Falcon House on Friday evening. The setting was quaint and the garden party setting was enhanced by the murals, balcony and pillars. On Saturday evening the student body roared at the antics of Richard Pryor and the sounds of Spanky 81 Our Gang iabovei. Following this most enjoyable concert the students proceeded to swing at various fraternity pa-rties and the like. Winter Weekend '69 saw a new format in the weekend activities. On Friday evening the Rams fell short in a valiant attempt to beat Villanova in basketball. After this gallant effort the students resided to fraternity parties, etc. Then on Saturday evening the student body engaged in a pleasant dinner-dance on the top floor of the Belbue-Stratford. Entertainment for this dance was provided by the Lords of Tonk. We then moved to our new format by having the name group concert on Saturday afternoon. At 2:00 p.m. the Jazzy beat of the Ramsey Lewis Trio echoed through the gym for an enjoyable afternoon.
