Sig Ep Sam greets new Brothers. atriotic duty One of Sig Ep's daily responsi- bilities is the masting of our Amer- loan Flag. The Pennsylvania Omicron Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded at Tex- tile on November 15, 1963 by a nucleus of Phi Psi brothers. We of Sigma Phi Epsilon encourage all those students who are interested in ac- ademic, sports, social services, social events, and most of all lasting friend- ships to pledge our organization. Our chapter is composed of many diversi- fied brothers, all of which share the bond of brotherhood. Sigma Phi Epsilon has regularly sched- uled meetings on Sundays, where the brothers come to carry out the business of the fraternity. Our advisor is Mr. Walter F. Harris who is an honorary brother in our chapter. Mr. Harris has served our organization with zeal and fraternalism since his af- filiation. The fraternity has carried out many so- cial services within the community. Last year we had our Annual Sweethearts Ball, which is open to all at Textile. Sigma Phi Epsilon also rounds out its social calendar with weekend parties. Also a Christmas Party for orphans was given at Christ's Home in Warminster, Pennsylvania. Sigma Phi Epsilon spon- sored fifty children from the home to the WCAU studios in Philadelphia to see the Gene London Show. In support of the Textile Rams, six Sig Ep brothers d-ribbled a basketball to Reading, Penn- sylvania for the Regional Champion- ships. The brotherhood collected for the H e a rt F u n d in Germantown in March. Last January brothers helped teach athletic skills to retarded children at Eastern Psychiatric Institute on Hen- ry Ave. This year again, we plan to have an active social service calendar. 9
