ZGJIH Proud possessions of the Delta Zeta So- rority are the Social Service Award, the Outstanding Scholastic Award, and the Outstanding Greek Senior Award given by the Inter-Fraternity Council to a frater- nal organization on campus. Receiving the Social Service Award marked the third consecutive year that DZ has held the trophyg for the Scholastic Award, the fifth consecutive yearg and the first ever to receive the Greek Senior Award. Iota Sigma Chapter of Delta Zeta Soror- ity was formally installed at PCT8tS in May of 1967. The chapter is proud of the fact that it is the first national sorority to come to this campus. An active sorority, Delta Zeta joins together women of like interests with a common desire within for the exchange of knowledge and the en- couragement of fine ideals and sincerity. During the year the sorority activities in- cluded: hostessing the Open House held at PCT8tS, a Fashion Show, parties at Eastern Psychiatric Home, Chestnut Hill H o s p i t a I, and the Northern Home for Children, a mixer, and an annual Christ- mas Dance. Others included: bake sales, hostessing graduation, collection of old clothes for the Navajo Indians, and the annual Formal Spring Banquet. While being newly installed into a nation- al sorority, lota Sigma is proud to have received several r e c o g n i t i o n s and awards at the Thirtieth Delta Zeta Nation- al Convention held last summer in St. Louis. 6 - ug: 1 r,-Y i- 1 , l. 9 ' A inf:-3-' -Lu H I ii I l S uf epsilon pi When Phi Epsilon Pi Fraternity was founded at the Philadelphia Col- lege of Textiles and Science, these precepts were laid down by its founders: The members have undertaken to promote a love of higher learning and a close friendship, one unto another . . . to exert throughout life an influence tending to manly character, highest ide- alism, and tolerance of mind and spirit inspired of universal brother- hood. Phi Epsilon Pi has indeed accepted the challenge of encouraging the most complete personal development of all its members -intellectu- al, physical, and social. Providing more than modern housing, the Beta Zeta Chapter of Phi Ep at Textile promotes social maturity of its members, and de- mands that each man who wears the coveted pin develop his in- dividual talents to the fullest extent. Fraternity members in Phi Ep- silon Pi can be considered an investment rather than a luxury -an investment in four years of personal development which will return a lifetime of dividends. Such high principles have been responsible for our outstanding James Ffankenfiefdf President reputation among all of our contemporaries. OFFICERS: Jim Hart, Rec. Secy.g Carl Fertman, Corres.
