The Accounting Soci- ety of the Evening Col- lege was founded by Frank Friedman in the Fall semester of 1968 to facilitate the round- ing out of the educa- tion of students major- ing in Accounting. This is accomplished by inviting guest speakers from govern- ment, public and pri- vate accounting de- partments. The Society also stresses the im- portance of profes- sional publications and study groups. As a ser- vice to the College and to other students, it has an accounting t u to r service and research facilities.
