DEAN CONGRATULATIONS, CLASS OF 19B3! Thank you for the privilege of extending my best wishes to your Class on behalf of the Faculty and Educational Administration. You have earned the privilege and right to be called Osteopathic Physician , having completed one of the most demanding programs in medical education — that of osteopathic medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I am proud to welcome you as members of the Profession and as alumni of PCOM. You have been a dedicated and industrious Class. You shared joy, sadness and triumph with one another. It has been a pleasure to see you work together. Thank you for the interest shown your College and future students by the significant class gift to the Student Loan Fund. This is tangible expression of the Osteopathic Oath , and establishes a fine example for future colleagues. It is appreciated by the entire College family. It has been good to be your Dean and to work with you for four years. PCOM and my Office are here to continue to serve you in the future. Do not hesitate to call for assistance, and plan to be with us for some excellent C.M.E. programs and Alumni Reunions. I shall follow you and your careers with interest. Many will be leaders in our Profession and in your communities. Support your Profession and College, care for your patients, and practice quality osteopathic medicine. May osteopathic principles be a motivating factor in your philosophy of practice. On behalf of the Faculty, members of the Educational Administration, and our PCOM staff, I extend best wishes to each of you. May God bless you all. Sincerely Robert W. England, CO. Dean

DEDICATION 1 31 3-1 3B2 Spencer G. Bradford, a 1 942 PCOM graduate, completed post-doctoral work in Ear, Nose, and Throat in 1 344 and received a Master of Science degree in Physiology in 1 961 . He taught and served as Chairman for PCOM ' s depart- ment of Physiology and Pharmacology for many yeans. In 1 972 he was appointed Assistant Dean of Basic Sciences and in 1 97G became the college ' s Director of Continuing Medicine. But that was not how we, the Class of 1 9B3, knew him. A majority of our contact with him was during his years as Director of Special and Continuing Education. To those of us who frequented the library on Saturday mornings, his C.M.E. registration table and smiling face were a familiar sight. He was always there with a cheerful Hello! and a ready ear. Always there to listen to our grumbling about being oven worked and under slept! This is how we, the Class of 1 9B3 will remember Spencer G. Bradford, D. O. ; not as a dean or director, not even as a physiologist or physician, but as a friend.
