CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD May 16, 1 983 Dear Class of 1 383: The Board of Trustees has reviewed and approved each candidate for his or her degree, confident that we have added not only a talented and dedicated physician to the profession, but also a concerned and respected leader of the community. As Chairman, I have observed your four-year evolution from inquisi- tive, unsure students to talented, confident Doctors of Osteopathy. While this personal transition was being effected, the science of medicine developed concepts and technology that were little short of miraculous. We are gratified that PCOM has kept pace with these developments at the same time maintaining its standards of excellence and achievement. It gives me great pleasure to join my colleagues on the Board, the faculty, staff, and administration in extending to you our heartiest congratulations. Your graduation in no way diminishes your status as life-long members of the PCOM family. Our national prominence has been achieved only through the continued involvement and support of our graduates.
