At ease, men, smoke em if you got em. I ' d like to talk to you, Class of ' 82, today a little about character. In talking with some of you, 1 found that many of you are pretty damn boring. A bunch of mindless, faceless, white-jacketed damn pencil-necked reading machines. Now we all can ' t be leaders but damn it, my men are going to have some kind of personality by the time they graduate from here. I took the liberty of putting in each of your files a Xerox copy of an article that I found particularly informative on this subject from this month ' s Playboy. Now I don ' t want you to think I ' m some kind of candyass, usually I only look at the pictures, but Peffall over here, having gotten tired of the pictures, if you know what I mean, read the article and brought it to my attention. It ' s called Why America Can ' t Get It Up Anymore. Half of American men, if you want to call em that, are running around with limp dinguses because they got no charact er. Now read the article and we ' ll discuss it in the next yearbook. The underlines are mine, the stains are Peffall ' s. Getting back on track, how can we as administrators and teachers be expected to instill character in you damn wimps if forced to use multiple choice tests? Now we know for a fact that multiple choice tests are just another tool of the Commies meant to stagnate the minds of today ' s youths. Let ' s kick these Commies in the butt, fill in E for none of the above, and tell em to stick the multiple choice tests in their Wang Data Processor!!! Let ' s get back to basics and give essay tests, the American kind of tests. It ' s the ultimate confrontation — one man, armed only with a pen and his mind to do battle with an empty blue book. Now I know you men are up to the challenge. This is where you learn the true meaning of the word BULL! We ' re not only making men here, we ' re making doctors. Now read this here yearbook that Brodsky and his crew put so much damn time into, And . . . ENJOY IT!!! Right Peffall? Attention: DISMISSED
