Frederic H. Barth, B.S., D.Sc, LL.D. President To the Class of 1963: I extend to each of you my personal, as well as official, congratulations on the occasion of your be- ing graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteo- pathy. The College is proud to have made it possible for you to become an osteopathic physician. We hope that your consciousness of the opportunity which has been given to you will motivate you to support your Alma Mater so that the opportunity may be given to others who will follow you and support you as fellow members of a great profession. You already sense the tide of change in science and in the clinical application of new knowledge. I am sure you also sense, too, that the role of the osteopathic physician is moving rapidly to a place of greater importance in the world of medicine. I hope that each of you will, in his own way, be part of this great forward movement and that to the satisfaction that comes from giving superior care to patients will be added the thrill of being a contri- buting part of the improvement of health care all over the world,. With warm best wishes and high hopes for you all. Sincerely yours. Dr. Frederic H. Barth, President ' Welcome
