For this reason we, the Senior Class, have published this, the 1955 Milestone, that we might recall God's blessings during the days spent at PhilaBI. Many of our greatest blessings came to us as we presented the Gospel to the people of Philadelphia. There are various phases of our lives as Christians that we find associated with the name of this city. Thus the theme of this yearbook is centered around brotherly love. The Lord Jesus Christ manifested love for us in His willingness to die on the cross in our behalf. This love was imparted to us when we accepted Him as Saviour. To know more of this love shown at Calvary, we came to PhilaBI to study God's Word. To show forth this love in respect to the administration and faculty, God commands us, Obey them who have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief. i Among the students this love can also be radiated, for Christ said, A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another, as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. The love of Christ constraineth us, too, to proclaim the Gospel to others that they may come to know Christ as Saviour. This ministry has taken us to all parts of the city of brotherly love. Not only in Christian Service assignments and in our fellowship with each other in classes, but because we were lilqemincled, having the same l0ve, being Of one accord a greater joy has been felt as we gathered for our social activities. Long will we remember the fun at these special events. With enthusiasm and cooperation, the entire student body worked together as a family united by the bonds of Christian love in the work of producing the yearbook, even in the selling of ads, that we would owe no man anything, but to love one another. Let brotherly love continue.
