athletics The Phil Campbell Bobcats of 1950 after a slow start in football came out at the end of the season with a victory of 4 to 6. The games won by the Bob- cats were Addison, Lynn, Meed, and Town Creek. The biggest event of the year was the Home-coming game, which the Bobcats lost to Fulton, Mississippi with a score of 20-6. The Home-coming Queen and attendants marched across the field at the half and she was given her flowers by the Captain and Co-Capt- ain of the team. The football season ended witha party given in the school aud - itorium. The Bobcats played energetically all season. The basketball season was also a good one for the Bobcats. The biggest event of the ball season was February 6, 1951 when the Bobcats upset Coffee High School of Florence, the only team to defeat Coffee in the 50-51 season. The heart break came when Russellville defeated us in the County tournament with a score of only two points. The Bobcats carne out with a victory of 4 to 6.

omecoming Queen Mary Elizabeth Isom was chosen Homecoming Queen from Phi1Campbe1l High School. She had six competitors. The next two highest, Betty Herring and Faye Sumerel served as her attendants at the Homecoming Game.
