Efcbfh Gsnclf ffnss It was in the year of 1050 that we made our first step toward the fh d of fgpmal Schooling, We were a bit frightened when we saw the big Building as we stepped from the bus, but many of us had older brothers and sisters to comfort us and make us feel at home. We went into the school and climbed the stairs that led us to the first grade room. We were welcomed by our teacher Miss Mayo. We had twenty eight children in our class the first year. They were Nancy Rurman, Ruth Caskey, Betty Frayer, James Filpula, Sandra Furman, Norma Heikkinen, Judy Hogenmiller, Mary Ann Justice, Ray Lahna, Richard Lambert, Rita Larson, Gertrude Lincoln, Glenna Lundquist, Jacob Neimisto, Thomas Olson, Micheal Payne, Sharon Raunio, Joan Riihimaki, Mark Rossi, Joan Severson, Micheal Suter, Karen Swedberg, Nancy Vold, Denis Volkman,Harry Wyant, Isabelle Pete and Mary Pfiefer. The year passed quickly and we found ourselves in the second grade. QUT grade now had one new face, Kathy Sudinski. We found that we had lost Sandra Furman and Mike Payne. Our teacher was Mrs. Buck. In the fourth grade we found we had Mrs. Madsen for a teacher. We liked her very much. She kept us so busy that we had no time for mig- chief. The fifth grade took us to Mr. Caskey's room. we liked him and had a lot of fun during the year. We gained no new pupils that year, but lost Karen Swedberg and Ray Lahna. Soon we were ready for sixth grade. In sixth grade we found a new teacher in the school, Mr. Baures. On passing into the seventh grade our teacher was Mr. Albrecht, for all of our subjects except Arithmetic, which was taught by Mr. Schabell. One of the highlights of our seventh grade was the trip to Madison where we took state honors in the State Historical Society contest. We even met Governor Thompson. Mr Albrecht was our advisor on our trip. In our last year of grade Sohoolme have Mr. Schabell for our teacher. Our Class president 13 Sharon Raunio and our secretary is Rita Larson. We work hard to make the final step for high school and prepare for our class trip to Madison. We are especially thankful to allof those that have help- ed us so much, particularly our mothers who did much to make our classtrip possible, We are now on our way to P.H.S.1 Clear the decksl
