Volkman FRESWNAN CLASS HISTORY When school started on September 6,l957,S1XtS6H Freshies trudged up three flights of stairs to spend our next exciting four years in Phelps High School. Two weeks after school started, we spent one long day in long underwear,pig tai1s,and black cork smeared on our faces. Our class officers for our first year in P.H.S. were: Marty Stenback-President,Judy McElroy-Vice President, Barbara Lucas-Secretary, and Dan Gaskey-Treasurer. Sue Ellen Jaaska and Jack Monty were chosen to represent our class on the Stu- dent Council. Our Homecoming Queen candidate was Barbara Lucas. Jim Hall wasn't with us for the first couple of months because of his broken leg. In October we gained Faith LaFave. ,ills fX,f
