Mr. Farmer leads personnel Mr. Farmer went through his thirteenth year without too many student problems. Mr. Leslie Whitlock and Mr. Ernest Alvarado have completed their second year and have many years to continue guiding students through their rough roads. These men and the helpful counselors arc the backbone of our school. They guide the fine students of PSJA year after year. Their agen da often consists of department and budget reports and elections of personnel. The Board recently changed the grading period from six to nine weeks. Math teachers arc, seated, Mrs. Shirley Saulsbury, head of the Math Department, and holding the slide rule arc Mrs. Janet Standing are Mr. Joe Garza, Mr. William McClure, Mr. Pat Gill. Mr. Jack McKecvcr, Mr. Domingo Sotelo, and Mr. Ramon Juniors double up on math PSJA’s Math Department added six teachers to their department. Heading it is Mrs. Shirley Saulsbury. This is the first time at PSJA in which juniors were allowed to take Algebra II and trigonometry and elementary analysis in order to have a fifth year of math. Mr. C. Clagett prepared the students for slide rule competition during a special 7:30 class. 14
