leaders in the legislature . .. Elmer, like many of us, appears to be carefree and lighthearted. But, also like us Elmer has serious thoughts and works that are as much a part of his life as the fun. One of the more serious organizations at P. S, J, A. is the student council that serves as acompactbetweenthose who govern and those who are governed. They are our own legislature elected by the different states , in our case ahome room. From these representatives officers are elected by the entire student body. The leaders in the student council are foremost among all Student officials They parallel zn importance to ou r school the officers of the federal government Being chosen one of these le ade rs 15 an honor among honors but the se students must shoulder the numerous responsibilities that go with the honor They must se e that our school IS favorably represented at alltlmes that there 19 no discontent among the students that the faculty s views are explained to the students In short the student counc1l officers must boost the sometimes hes1tantP S I A ers to greater heights .ana-1-IP'- NO 'bf' .3--4 but P.
