Direc- chael Lunnin, Lisa Grey, Kim Freehill, Bianca Warren, tor; (standing) Guy Mathews, Mike Yokie, Wendy Wil- Edith Martinez, Carrie Hays, Tammy O’Dell. State U.I.L., held April 29- 30, in Austin at U.T. included Kenny McDonald and Doug Bohls placing second in infor- mative speaking and fifth in Number Sense, respectively. McDonald explained, “At the state level, competition is so close that you could flip a coin to determine what place you get.” “Competing in state may be difficult, but the road getting there wasn’t easy either,” ad- ded Bohls.
