If any one event on the Pfeiffer Campus during the year brings the Pfeiffer students closer, it is the decoration and events surrounding Williamsburg Christmas. Williamsburg Christmas deals with the non- commercial aspects of decorating, aspects used in early Williamsburg Pennsylvania and that are still used today. Decorations consist of various kinds of greenery cut from various spots on campus. This weekend is a time when Pfeiffer students are brought together without the affects of lights, commercials, or presents, but celebrate the Christmas Spirit through working together with nature. Dean Madeline Allen does her part in decorating the Student Center. 14

April Festival April Festival was, again, a big success. Festivities started with a dance on Friday night at Fiber Industry in Salisbury with the Entertainers and the presentation of the representatives for April Festival Queen and the April Fest court. On Saturday, the carnival began in the afternoon, crowning of the queen followed. This was held in the old Gym due to inclement weather. The candidates for Queen were Carol Durkin, a Health and P.E. Major from Massachusettes, Cindy Long, a Psychology Major from Durham, and Pam Felker a Business Administration Psychology Major from Charlotte. Pam Felker was crowned April Festival Queen for 1983.
