Two We are glad he chose Pfeiffer College — it makes us glad we did. In the classroom, he makes literature come alive and gram- mar interesting. In the commun- ity, he concerns himself with the local public schools, the church, and the Civitan Club. On a com- mittee, whether it be campaign fund raising or library, he con- tributes his best toward the bet- terment of Pfeiffer. As chairman of the Division of Language and Literature, he has been instru- mental in the development of the new AIM program. Because of his concern for Pfeiffer College and his unceas- ing devotion to the ideals of higher education and because amidst it all he never forgets the student, we proudly dedicate to Dr. J. The time has en- tered front stage and a hectic, frenzied air encompasses the whole. A frustling anticipation collides with vibrating ulcers. A recurring series of introductions, new faces with unmatchable names . . . situating and unload- ing . . . forms to address with last name, first name, middle initial . . . and a myriad of activities emerge. Adjustments are in the limelight. Thirteen Thinking ... a remaining frontier of inexpressable com- plexity that can never be clois- tered. The mind is its own place . . . expoundable ... re- served . . . slowly nurtured . . . spontaneous ... a contradictory phenomenon. Approaching a hazy horizon of learning, man delves into the crackles of his mind. He desires scope; he aims. Seventy-five Association Of Women Students Big sisters for freshman girls, changes in dorm rules and parental permission, backing up promises with action. The AWS strives to find unity in campus relations between the MSGA and AWS, freshmen and upperclass- men, and academic freedom and social freedom. There is also the desire to develop individual free- dom and responsibility rather than to act as a disciplinary organization.
