overnment the senior class, three members from the junior class, two mem- bers from the sophomore class, and one member from the fresh- man class. A high scholastic average is required of these officers. Any matter pertaining to members of the Association becomes a concern of the Student Council. Acting as a connecting link be- tween the students and the administration, faculty, and staff, the Council seeks to bring about a cohesion of these groups. It also strives to foster in the individual a better understanding of the obligations and responsibilities of college life. The Judicial Committee within the Student Council has the responsibility of action in case of violations of the rules and regulations of the College. The members of the committee are President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Student Council, and one representative each from the senior, junior, and sophomore classes. Each year the Student Council lends its assistance to the publica- tion of a handbook of detailed information concerning college life. Seated: K. D. Student The Student Government Association has as its purpose the creation within each student of an interest in self-government. Each student is a vital part of the Student Government Association, for he must practice the policies set up by the va- rious committees. This organization is responsible for regulation of matters of conduct of the stu- dents of Pfeiffer College. Pfeiffer campus is a laboratory for democratic living. To help each student have an appreciation for and an understanding of a democratic society is one of the aims of the Student Government Association. Officers of the Student Government Association are elected by the members of the student body. These officers include a President, Vice-Presi- dent, Secretary, Treasurer, four members from 28
